Which trucks qualify

Pickups from compact to heavy-duty, work trucks, flatbeds and box trucks are welcome. Blown engines, transmission failure, rust, bed damage and retired fleet vehicles are all still accepted.

Free truck pickup

Truck pickups use equipment sized for the vehicle, so a non-running or oversized truck is no obstacle. Let the coordinator know the bed length and whether the truck rolls and steers.

Title and paperwork for a truck donation

Bring the title if you have it and remove any commercial lettering or plates you want to keep. Work trucks registered to a business can be donated by an authorized signer.

Paperwork and tax deduction in truck donation

Your vehicle donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Veterans Care Charity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You will receive a donation receipt, and IRS Form 1098-C if your vehicle sells for more than $500. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific deduction.

Keep the receipt handed to you at pickup with your truck donation tax records; Form 1098-C follows by mail when it applies.
